Web Design
A digital home for a singer-songwriter who spent nine years playing the platforms of Chicago’s Blue Line — until one stranger’s phone clip was heard thirty million times.
WREN’s story didn’t happen overnight, and the site couldn’t pretend it did. She spent close to a decade playing eight-hour days in the tunnels of the Chicago subway, building a catalog of originals and covers long before a stranger’s clip reached thirty million people. With a debut album, Above Ground, on the way, she needed a home that could hold the whole arc — the platform years, the viral moment, and what comes next.
We designed around the tunnels. Sodium-orange photography, a near-black palette, and a type system that pairs an extended display face with monospaced labels give the site the feel of a late-night platform, while the structure stays direct: a Now Playing block, the next show, and a Request Line where fans pay to send a song underground. The Tunnels page tells the story stop by stop. The Catalog and album pages keep the music one click from every screen.
Outcomes: A complete artist web presence — a story that earns the viral moment, a catalog built for discovery, and a Request Line that turns an audience of thirty million into paying fans.
