A fighting-game roster brought to the web — sixteen fighters, five camps, and one season to prove it.
Proving Season introduces its fighters the way the genre taught a generation to meet them: with a select screen. Every fighter gets a portrait, a full-body render, a hometown, and a single line that says who they are before the bell. Choose one and the site opens their fighter file.
Each file reads like a dossier — vitals, fighting style, camp, rival, and stat bars for body, craft, and character — followed by an On Film record of looks and studies. Camp pages tell the story of the gyms behind the roster, like Blackline in Brooklyn, where the wall decides who’s anybody. Condensed display type and monospaced labels hold the system together, while each fighter’s file takes on an accent color of its own.
Outcomes: A fictional fight season with the depth of a real one — a roster you can browse like a game, files you can study like a scouting report, and camps that give every fighter somewhere to come from.
