Heaven
The First Sphere. Here dwell the faithful and the merciful — those who loved quietly, gave freely, and kept hope when it cost them something. Light has weight here; it settles on the shoulders like a garment.
You have crossed the threshold. Those who arrive here are rarely the ones who expected to — they were too busy giving to keep account of it.
Nothing is demanded of you now. The striving is finished, the ledger closed. What remains is the part of you that loved, which turns out to have been the whole of you.
There is a sphere above this one, brighter than sight allows. And there is the road back down, should you wish to see where the other choice leads.
Earth
The living walk here, between ascent and descent. Every choice leans one way or the other — and nothing chosen is ever lost.
This is Earth, the Middle World — the only realm where the road still forks. Every soul you will meet above or below once stood exactly where you stand now.
Scripture calls this life a vapor — brief, but decisive. What is chosen here echoes upward into light or downward into ash, and nothing chosen is ever lost.
The dove has crossed these skies since the waters receded, carrying word between the worlds. Follow it upward when you are ready — or descend, and see what indifference builds.
The Depths
The threshold of the deep — kept for the indifferent, who in life chose neither good nor evil, and so drift here in ash that will not settle.
Welcome down. Do not look for fire yet — this floor is quieter than the stories promised. Most who arrive here are surprised to find they were expected.
These are the uncommitted. They harmed no one and helped no one; they watched. Ash falls on them forever because they never once stood anywhere long enough to be counted.
Deeper floors are louder, and reserved for those who chose in earnest. You may still climb back — the way up is open, and it always was.
